Trade-finance #digitization is too big for one organization to handle, Tod Burwell, president and CEO of the Bankers Association for Finance and Trade (#BAFT), tells Aerial View at #Sibos. Legal, data-capture and network-connectivity pieces all need to be addressed, he says. But ground is being made is being made on each piece, Burwell adds, with BAFT focusing on the legal framework portion. He also points to legislation put forward in the U.S., U.K. and other jurisdictions, as signs of progress in digitization.
