Ethopia’s financial services sector is poised for dramatic growth as regulators open up that market, Brem Peters, Head of Financial Institutions for the Bank Sector at Africa’s Standard Bank, told Aerial View at Sibos 2023. Until now, the nation’s financial sector has been clouded by some political instability and challenges accessing U.S. dollar liquidity, but with those clouds starting to part more financial institutions are eyeing Ethopia for payment and other opportunities, he notes.
